This isn't just about a newsletter or substack and its brand. this is about trading in that heavy past for a more faithful present. I'd love to hear from you. Have you ever had to tear something down in order to build something more true?
Yes, and I have experienced too that the past can feel very heavy while all the good moments of meeting God in the present and moving forward are so much lighter. Congratulations on your courage to listen, pivot, and begin again. St. Francis de Sales talked about beginning again and he is certainly praying for you. So am I.
Thank you for your prayers Belinda. I didn’t know that about St. Francis de Sales. I have a book on his Eastertide sermons, but have yet to dive into it. It was actually a gift for my wife. I pray every day for the intercessions of St. Thomas More (my confirmation saint) and Saint John the Evangelist for courage to stay true and faithful to God as I write. I might have to add St. Francis de Sales to that litany.

Yes, he is a Doctor of the Church and a patron of writers.
Consider him added to my litany.
